1.You can bill daily visits in hospital daily - one visit at a time. If you are a family physician, because the first patient of the day is a different fee, a separate daily visit fee is usually the way you need to bill.
2. However you can bill daily visits as a period i.e. from the date of service say 3/10/01 to the 3/31/01 and charge 21 visits times 308.
3.31 is the figure you would put in the serviceto box on the Advanced TAB
4.Each month is discrete. i.e. if a patient is in hospital over a month end then you have to make a second bill for the next month starting the first of next month and continuing till date of discharge.
5.If a patient is in hospital from say the 3rd May to the 11th May the service date field=5/3/2001 and the serviceto date field will =11.
6.If the daily visits are not consecutive, there is no alternative other than to use multiple repeat bills
